Attention, foodies! The fall edition of Long Island Restaurant Week kicks off next Sunday, Oct. 29, and will run through Sunday, Nov. 5.
More than 100 Long Island restaurants will participate in the annual event, which offers eight days of multi-course prix-fixe meals at several price points including a $24 two-course lunch, or three-course dinners for $29, $39 or $46.
Participating restaurants will offer the deal every night they are open from Sunday to Sunday except on Saturday, when certain restaurants may only offer the special menu until 7 p.m.
Reservations are recommended and gratuities are not included in the fixed price. For more information, visit longislandrestaurantweek.com.
Here’s a list of participating North Fork restaurants to consider this year:
Bistro 72, Riverhead
$24 lunch | $39 dinner
Their dinner menu is a celebration of all things fall. We’re especially excited to try their pulled pork sandwich for lunch, their dinner special of pan-seared salmon, and their cider doughnut sundae, featuring cinnamon and caramel ice cream. Bistro 72 is located at 1830 W Main St., Riverhead
Cooperage Inn, Baiting Hollow
$39 & $46 dinner
A restaurant week mainstay, we’d start with eggplant fries and splurge on a premium entree (an additional $5) to try their Oktoberfest sampler: pork schnitzel, bratwurst, Düsseldorf mustard, braised red cabbage, and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Cooperate Inn is located at 2218 Sound Ave., Baiting Hollow
The Preston House, Riverhead
Enjoy an upscale meal in a beautiful setting in downtown Riverhead. Course options include roasted curry cauliflower, oysters or clams on the half shell, handmade cavatelli carbonara with crispy bacon, or try their pumpkin pappardelle bolognese. The Preston House is located at 428 E Main St., Riverhead
The Dimon Estate, Jamesport
Since taking the helm at the former Jamesport Manor Inn, chef Chris Kar has crafted inventive menus that all seek to honor and tell the story of the Dimon family. Don’t miss burratini with brussel sprouts, pancetta, toasted pistachio and balsamic glaze, duck drumettes with a hibiscus adobo glaze, short ribs, and tequila lime ravioli. The Dimon Estate is located at 370 Manor Ln., Jamesport
On The Docks, Aquebogue
We love the view of Meetinghouse Creek from this off-the-beaten-path Aquebogue restaurant. Taste all the fall flavors with a roasted autumn bisk featuring sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips, and a collection of fresh herbs, a butternut squash cheese stuffed pasta bake, and apple cider beignets with a salted caramel sauce to end the meal. On The Docks is located at 177 Meeting House Creek Rd.
Little Fish, Southold
Making their Restaurant Week debut this year, head over to this quaint Sound-side eatery to taste upscale twists on seafood classics. Indulge in Chef Ryan Barth-Dwyer’s spicy tuna tartare taquitos, swordfish Milanese, and crispy candied pumpkin for a fall twist to finish. Little Fish is located at 50 N Sea Dr., Southold
